Meet Kenny

Meet Kenny Wray

For nearly three decades, I've had the privilege of helping families navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Over the years, I've learned that most people aren't looking for a sales pitch—they're looking for honest answers, clear guidance, and someone they can trust.

Long before I ever built a home, I was fascinated by the idea of taking a piece of raw land and turning it into a place where a family could build their life. Like many dreams, life had a way of delaying that goal. As my children grew older and my sons built careers in construction and land development, the opportunity finally became a reality. Together, we founded hooWray Homebuilders, combining my lending experience with their construction knowledge.

That experience changed the way I look at construction financing. A construction loan isn't just about getting approved. It's about understanding the entire journey—from the land and the plans to the builder, the budget, and the construction process. My goal is to help you understand how all those pieces fit together before you ever break ground.

When you meet with me, my hope is that you'll leave knowing more than you expected. I believe people make better decisions when they have good information, and I don't believe knowledge should be treated like a sales tool. Whether you choose to work with me or simply leave with a better understanding of your options, I want you to feel informed, confident, and comfortable reaching out whenever questions come up.

A Different Perspective on Construction Financing

Construction and renovation loans involve more than borrower qualification. The land, builder, plans, budget, appraisal, draw schedule, inspections, change orders, and construction timeline all affect the financing process. Practical knowledge of residential construction helps support more useful conversations before the loan reaches underwriting.
